How we test
Our rankings answer one question: which AI visibility tool fits a given budget, team or job? Here is how we get there.
1. Find
We track dedicated trackers, AI features inside SEO suites, enterprise platforms and free checkers, and re-check for new, renamed and retired tools. Every tool that tracks or improves AI search visibility is eligible, and we review the ones we wouldn't recommend too.
2. Verify
For each tool we record the engines it tracks, its starting price, its free option and whether it offers an API or MCP server, each from the vendor's own pricing or product page. Third-party reviews are never enough on their own. Anything we can't verify stays blank and is marked "—".
3. Judge
We pick tools by need rather than naming one overall winner, because a solo marketer and an enterprise brand need different things. To be recommended, a tool must state which engines it tracks and publish its pricing, or be clearly sales-led.
Hands-on testing
We are rolling out hands-on tests: tracking the same set of prompts in each tool and comparing what they report. Results will appear on each review, with the date, once a tool has been tested. Until then, reviews are based on verified vendor information.
4. Re-check
Prices, prompt allowances and engine lists change often. Every page shows the date its facts were last verified, and we update pages when vendors change.
